Capacity-building

Support for our grantee partners, beyond your grant.

Capacity-building Fund

This fund isn't intended for every grantee, every cycle. It exists for organizations that have identified a specific need through their capacity assessment, things like a leadership transition, a strategic plan, or a gap in financial systems, and are ready to invest in addressing it. Because funding is limited, apply when a project would meaningfully move your organization forward, not simply because you're eligible.

How to apply

  • 1. Complete a capacity assessment

Grantees are eligible for a free nonprofit capacity assessment through Tennessee Nonprofit Network.

Contact Angela Meekins to schedule your assessment →

  • 2. Apply for a capacity grant

With your assessment complete, apply through Foundant. Your assessment is ‘current’ for up to three years.
