Our Programs

Each year, the Hyde Family Foundations actively support worthy nonprofit partners achieving results in these three key areas:

Transforming Education
Our philosophy on education is simple: All children deserve a high-quality education that prepares them for success. Our efforts are focused on closing the achievement gap by:

  • Supporting transformative schools
  • Developing and rewarding great teachers and school leaders, and
  • Sponsoring effective public policy.

Positioning Authentic Assets
Memphis is rich with cultural, historical, physical and human assets that are unique to our city. We work with innovative community partners to strengthen and showcase Memphis’ authentic assets in the areas of:

  • Arts and Culture
  • Civic Growth and Leadership
  • Greening Initiatives

Strengthening Neighborhoods
Strong neighborhoods are the building blocks of a thriving, competitive city. We invest in initiatives that transform buildings, businesses, landscapes and human lives, making downtown Memphis a destination to live, work and play. We aim to increase the vitality of our neighborhoods and to promote responsible, collaborative redevelopment and sustainable urban design.
