    Hampline Groundbreaking has Begun

     
     
    The City broke ground on the Hampline, a two-mile bike bath that connects Overton Park to the western terminus of the Shelby Farms Greenline. The path will be the first two-way bicycle track (one lane in each direction on the same side of the street and a buffer from traffic) in the city. The project was funded by a combination of local and national grants, local foundations, corporations, and private donors. Around $78,000 was raised for the project through crowdfunding, using a website called IOBY.
