Livable Memphis on Thursday landed yet another grant to help establish a two-mile bike route connecting Shelby Farms Greenline to Overton Park.

The Tennessee Parks and Greenways Foundation is awarding $1,500, Livable Memphis program manager Sarah Newstok said.

The money will help build a bike trail within Overton Park, from a new entrance at East Parkway to the park's interior road system.

Livable Memphis estimates the total cost for the park segment will be $115,000.

So far, more than $135,000 has been raised for what would be a $1 million project to build a protected bike lane along Tillman and Broad.
