MPO seeks public input on new greenways

Memphis Business Journal - by Andy Ashby -

The Memphis Metropolitan Planning Organization is currently updating its pedestrian and bicycle plan to include greenways.

It is seeking public input to help verify existing greenways and determine where new greenways and bike lanes should connect to existing ones.

The regional agency, which is responsible for long-range transportation planning throughout the Greater Memphis area, will hold a public meeting at the Church Health Center Wellness Center, 1115 Union Ave., at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 19.

The city’s bikeway/pedestrian coordinator Kyle Wagenschutz will be on hand, as will representatives from the nonprofit Memphis Regional Design Center.
