Participants of GIVE 365, a new initiative of the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis, have already reached the $20,000 threshold to receive dollar-for-dollar matching funds.

The initiative, which was kicked off last week, gives members a low-cost entry into philanthropy and the opportunity to pool donations to improve Memphis.

Individuals or households are asked to give $365 toward the effort. Members get to choose how grants will be distributed. Grants will be announced in August.
