Memphis is rich with distinct cultural, historical, physical and human assets unique to our city.  We desire to work with innovative community partners to strengthen and showcase Memphis’ authentic assets in the areas of Arts and Culture, Civic Growth and Leadership, and Greening Initiatives.

Arts and Culture
We seek proposals that strive to strengthen and promote the wealth of distinctive artistic and cultural assets in our city.  The Foundations support the development of institutions that are the cornerstones of Memphis’ rich heritage and future prosperity.

Civic Growth and Leadership
We believe that top-tier talent is key to the successful growth of our city.  We therefore support initiatives that develop, attract and retain our next generation of leaders.  We also invest in catalytic, city-building initiatives that will propel Memphis into the future and position the city for the knowledge-based economy of the 21st century. 

Greening Initiatives
The Hyde Family Foundations support projects that further our goal of creating the Memphis Greenprint – an interconnected network of open space, parks, greenways and trails that touches every neighborhood.  Strategic investments in selected Greening Initiatives are made to help Memphis become a model American city by revitalizing distressed neighborhoods, connecting people from diverse communities, improving health and protecting the environment.
