Grant Information

The Hyde Family Foundations makes grants that empower the people and programs making real differences in the community and provide leadership on public policy issues that will transform Memphis. We support high-impact initiatives that focus on three distinct objectives:

The Hyde Family Foundations are a pair of philanthropic funds founded and managed by members of the Hyde family, beginning with an initial $1 million investment by Joseph Hyde Sr. in 1961. Today, the assets of the Hyde Family Foundations total more than $114 million, and approximately $20 million is granted annually to groups dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Memphis area.

Our Program Interests
Most of our grantmaking is initiative-driven in nature, but we will accept requests from 501(c)(3) organizations that serve Memphis or influence policy change at the statewide level.
