Dear friends,

At the Hyde Family Foundations, we are confident that Memphis has the potential to become a model city of the 21st century. In every Memphis neighborhood and zip code, smart, innovative, resourceful, and generous leaders are working tirelessly to make a difference in our community. We are honored to partner with them to achieve greatness for our city.

In 1961, Pitt and Jeanne’s grandfather created a legacy of family giving by making a $1 million gift to set up the J.R. Hyde Senior Foundation. Since then, we have been committed to tackling our city’s most pressing challenges, and that work continues today.

The Foundations’ efforts are focused on three priorities: transforming education, strengthening neighborhoods, and positioning Memphis’ authentic assets. We believe each of these areas is vitally important to creating and sustaining a better Memphis

The visionary leaders, high-impact initiatives, and world-class organizations that we invest in are already making a difference in our community. We hope you will join us in our work to build a better Memphis for future generations. Our future is bright.
